The MOST expensive RUBBER (Renault CV Joint boots) on Planet EARTH.

The CV Joint boot (which is composed of rubber) of my Renault Koleos broke a day ago and I called the parts division in Centurion and I was quoted R6550 (inner boot) and R4493 (outer boot). This must be the most expensive rubber on the planet. I then asked the gentleman to quote me for the complete drive shaft (i.e. the outer and inner CV joints itself together with the boots and shafts) - which was R16 000. Surely there is an error on the system to be quoting such exorbitant prices for rubber boots - I might as well replace the whole driveshaft. The gentleman that helped me believes that that is the price for rubber. I'm getting it fixed elsewhere for R750 which includes inner boot with labour. Renault your service sucks and you have staff that is unhelpful when you ask them to double check items that just does not make sense in terms of pricing.
