Terrible Unreliable Customer Service, the WORST

In my attempt of enjoying a peace of mind, I bought my wife and brand new Renault Capture, July 2015, 2 months after it was launched in South Africa.

First the car was still set with European standards, 10 000 km service interval. I took the car for service when it was just short of 12 000 km afyer coming back from Durban (to Cape Town).I requested that it be reset/programmed to RSA service intervals. That was end February 2016.

Late November 2016, the car started with starting problem. It had a "drag" when it start. I took the car in for check up at the same services centre where it was serviced.

The report I got was that there was a loose bolt on the starter. They are the people who serviced the car last, how could I have a loose bolt on the starter? I was given no explanation how could that happen. They kept the car for a day. A new car with services plan, and I was not even given a courtesy car. I had to find my way to work.

Two weeks after this, on my way from Christmas shopping with my family, the car just switched off on the free way. First it was high rmp count to 8 x 1000 rpm, then dropped to 0 and it switched off. We were about 30 km away from home, myself, wife, 6 years old and 3 years old kids, around 17h00. I called Renault services towing, 20 min later the town truck arrives and took us to Paarden Eiland services centre.

We were stranded without transport to go home until the tow truck driver feels sorry for us and took us home.

Again, for a week without a car to go to work, no courtesy car, I had to find my way to work as I was still working not on-leave. Yet every month I pay my full installment that includes service + maintenance engineer plan.

3 days later I got a report that the car switched off because the air+petrol ratio was not mixing properly in the engine. I requested a diagnostic print report and I never got it, to this day.

I requested to speak to the workshop manager, who kept me waiting until I got tired of waiting and left.

Now my service light is ON again with 22 000 km recorded. Clearly they didn't reset the service interval.

I called to speak to the Branch Manager, and I am still waiting for his call, that was 5 days ago.

This Branch is just the worst with after sale services.
