Terrible after sales service
On Saturday the 9th of March I purchased a Renault Duster 1.5 DCI EDC DYNAMIC 2019 model NEW from above mentioned Dealer, Initially the Assistant dealership principal and finance lady with sales executive was great in service and feedback,
However on Monday 8th April at 17:57 am the car (still new being a month old and without first payment to back) picked up an error stating WARNING: CHECK BRAKING SYSTEM which resulted in a semi limb mode with no power steering, No Abs, No Airbags, No Hill Assist, No Edc Function I immediately contacted the dealership which at this stage was closed already at which point i contacted the ADP and Sales Exec who was super helpful at the time.
The next morning first thing i had the car at the dealership to check i clearly asked that i want a copy of the diagnostic report as well as photo's of the faulty part, the error had cleared by itself and the workshop manager could not do anything at that stage as it does not store the error on the cars computer.
On the 12th of April i booked the vehicle in to do the diagnostic and fit a towbar, the workshop manager at that stage took the car put it on the diagnostic and came back and mentioned it is an abs sensor on the left front that is faulty and that they have to order a sensor as they do not have any in stock and this will take about a week as they need approval from the warranty cover to replace the part.
So by the 24th of April having no feedback what so ever i decided to send an email following up again with no response at this point i laid a complaint at Renault South Africa. Further more during this whole time i have visited the service center who had at that stage a poster on their door stating the 3 factors of safety stating that one of these 3 factors are your brakes. upon mentioning to them that its been almost a month with no joy and according to this poster it is unsafe to drive the car as is they confirm i can drive the car as it is safe to do so its just a sensor that is faulty. Reminding you that all above functions that i have previously mentioned is still not working.
At this point the Dealer Principal is involved and i am called back again with my motor car to have another diagnostic done as they can't recall what was the complete error codes etc for the correct part and the part has still not been ordered this is around the 25th/26th of April 2019.
The car went in again on the 30th of April to be diagnosed again to get the correct codes and parts for the warranty claim. Again the i asked for a copy of the diagnostic report that was not supp****.
On the 4th of May i got a phone call that the part has arrived and i can arrange that the car be booked in for the part to be replaced.
On the 17th of May i booked the vehicle in to have the part replaced, i was notified the car is done that afternoon i can pick up at 16:30.
I collected the motor vehicle and drove out literally 1 km further the error appeared again with all above mentioned functions not working, (ABS, Airbags, ESP, Hill assist and Power steering) I immediately tried phoning the dealership but they where already closed and not answering any calls as i was one of the last customers out. I then sent a whatsapp with images to the ADP and Sales Exec. with no feedback or answer.
On the 27th of May again i sent a follow up email to ask what will be done about my vehicle and again i have not received any feedback. thus after added a senior service manager from Renault Customer Care SA to the mails.
At this point i also realised that i have not yet received any of the requested documentation nor the a copy of the purchase agreement. i also asked for this, a number of times.
Only then i received it from the sales exec.
So in short my car is still not resolved still showing issues and almost 2 months later i'm still having no joy.
