Tableview Renault don't listen to complaints

I would like to share my experience I had in purchasing a car , a Renault Kwid. It's a little cute car with all the bells and whistles. I loved it, I only asked the gentlemen assisting me, if there where any way he could get me some mirror's in the driver and passenger flips?

So he said, he does not see why it should be a problem, and he will get back to me on that. I also asked him if he could tint the windows, and he said they will do that straight away for an extra X amount. But before we can have the car, he needs to install the alarm, ......

The day I drove the car for the first time in December 2017, I notice some strange noise which I was not fami**** with at the time, every 30 minutes or so I will hear some strange sound that would beep twice. So I thought okay maybe its just some settings I have to set. Then that day, I notice every time you switch the car off and you put it back on, you need to accept all terms and conditions on the GPS. Every time you open the maps you need to accept all terms and conditions. So I thought that is a bit annoying for a car with a touch screen GPS and Bluetooth capability.

So about like three weeks in, I've saved all my favorite spots on the maps. And was all and ready to go to my piano lessons and everything I saved was all gone and late for piano lessons.

It's September 2018 now, and I still have that problem. Nothing stays saved, it just keep on reset to defaults. The first time I realized I've accidentally left the batteries on, in my holidays having dinner with family at Grand west , I stepped out back to go and turn the lights off and I realize my key won't work. and that is when I realized my battery dies after 20 minutes, what a night I had. Luckily for me there were two lovely gentlemen that assisted me in jump starting my car.

I've never had that problem before, most new and kind of old cars either turn off automatically with the keys or have a little light beeping reminding you that lights is still on. I guess touchscreen GPS, and Bluetooth radio does not make anything smart. I would have prefer to just sync my phone screen with the GPS live on google maps. Or when I'm parked somewhere stream some You tube. Instead you have to accept all terms and conditions every time, just to have it rest about every two - three weeks.

My guess it all started with the battery, and that weird constant beeping sound every 30 minutes.. toot, toot, tooting you off to some where. The lovely sales gentlemen help me about three times to come and jump start my car, because I accidentally left the lights on. Such a pity they don't put little solar lights in their, or a little windmills in the car engine, small ones to power the solar lights with water or wind. He also showed me this fancy portable battery starter kid for situations like this. He said, he could maybe order me one, yea right beginning of 2018 and I'm still waiting for my mirrors that he did not deliver on. One of the days it was very hot, so I let him come up for some water. He came all the way up to drink some water and to ask me to do him all kinds of favors. And to let me know that the Kwid just got an upgrade and its got mirrors and is automatic with all kinds of new features.

When I called the sales assistant at Table view Renault he told me he does not work for that branch anymore so he can't come and help me no more. So I ended letting my insurance come out and jump start my new car that I had for about three months or so.

So I took the car in for them to take, into Table view Renault , they had it for a day or two, I mentioned everything about the battery and GPS and the strange sound. They said they tested the battery and everything works good, and they don't know why the GPS do that.

On the 23rd of August I went to college and wrote a test, in the haste of not finding parking, I ended up parking at pick and pay and forgot about my lights. The test was an hour and after that I could not start my car at all, everything was dead. People tried helping me , we could not even jump start the car. We tried for a long time, I called Renault road assistance, made sure they know the car was bought by Table view and told them the battery is dead and we tried to jumstart but that does not even work.

So they send out a guy after such a long wait with a small bakkie, just to find out that he can't jump start. Before he left he mumbled something about my insurance must call me. No idea what he was talking about, so I made some more calls, eventually they came, my test was like at 9 in the morning and finish by ten, I left like at 6ishpm. Not the best day.

That was the Thursday the 23rd - only heard something back by like 29th of August, only because I called to find out the lady who's work it is to notify people about their cars was sick, and no one filled in for her until now, that I brought it to their attention. Just to find out I need to come and pick up the car.

So I go and collect the car at Renault Montague Gardens, The gentlemen informs me, my car won't start. I was just suppose to pick it up. So its still in the same condition. I explained everything to him again. He said I need to close this case and open a new one. So many days and I'm back to day one.

I need to speak to some lady in a different office. She was on the phone, in my mind I did not think it will take that long to pickup a car. I uber there and had to speak to the lady or organize me an uber back home. If I would have known, I had to come to just close and open a case , I would have not picked a day where I have to study for a test to write the next day. The only reason was because I kind of need my car to go and write my test.

So now another week or so has passed and we receive threatening emails, if we do not come and collect the car to take it to Table view branch, we will start paying a fee to have to car stand there, that needs to be towed because it cant be started. I took it to the Montague Gardens branch and the macanic there said the battery is faulty, the alarm was not installed properly and is draining the battery that is why my gps keeps on resetting, they were more than willing to replace it for me but when they found out that I did not buy it by their branch they refuse to assist me further. Apparently, someone else owned them and they don't want to bring the expenses on them.

According to Table view everything is fine, or are they just hoping for the warrentee to expire. I had the car twice by them and they do nothing, and it just keep on coming back with the same problems.

But at least my experience can keep me now from buying into future mistakes. I should take it back to where I bought it. Because all Renault's are not family and you can't just get help from any branch.

The same lady that was sick and the reason I was not notified to come and collect my car, and the reason I was without a car for so many days are sending us threatening emails. If we don't come and collect the car, that cannot start and take it to the Table view branch we must start paying a monthly fee. I personally have never had such bad customer service with anyone on this scale before.

Now I send my car in for a service a few months later after all those complaints still in the same year and it is was suppose to be in for one day service, the car has almost been there for two months now because there are so many issues when I bought it, every time I take it to them saying what is wrong they say everything is fine and do nothing with it. If they would have just listened to me in the beginning when I complained and fixed the issues the 1-day service would have not taken almost 2 months. They have been promising me they will arrange a car for me, because it normally don’t take this long, I call every day and they say they will come back to me just to shut me up. I have been speaking to different people and the main manger or boss promise to come back to me, its almost 2 months now and I’m sitting with no car for a one-day service.
