Stop hiding the truth

Renault Vaal wanted to replace my brake pads R1500 . I opted to replace it myself . It would cost me less than R600. I went to 5 different car parts shops and they all keep presenting the same set of brakes produced by their systems for my car. The problem is these brake pads do not fit on my car. We had to remove these Italian brake pads from my French car and take it with to these various shops to try and find the exact same brakes. It is pure exploitation that I should not be able to find suitable brake pads for my car in Car part shops where things are usually available. Why has Renault not communicated a change in brake pads to these dealers? Why should I have to drive to Johannesburg or Vereeniging for brake pads from a Renault dealership. I'm in Ellisras and there is no dealership here. So I should be able to go to any car parts shop anywhere and be able to obtain from there. On top of that they add about 200% mark-up. <br> Someone at Renault Vaal imp**** Midas and Autozone have pirated brakes when I referred to good brands like Ferodo and Safelines and the fact that they don't have my brakes on their system. <br> You should tell people what is in store when buying cars.
