Steer clear of the Renault KWID
I purchased a brand new 2018 Renault KWID about a month ago and I can honestly say with the utmost cer*****y it is the worst decision I have ever made. Besides the fact that the dealership I bought it from in Klerksdorp has no standard of service what so ever - Renault South Africa is even more pathetic than I had imagined.
When I eventually received the car: a) the wheel alignment and balancing had not been done; b) the vehicles steering wheel shakes uncontrollably at speeds of 60km/h never mind driving on the high way; c) the brakes make the most horrific noise when braking (squeaking & rumbling); d) the front passenger seat is unstable; e) the car's engine does not run smoothly; and f) to top it all the vehicle now has a faulty fuel gauge - causing me to have to fill up, up to 3 times a week as I drive quite a far distance to work each day - thus costing me more money.
My vehicle has already been back to the dealership once before but to no avail. I have also contacted Renault South Africa customer care more times than I can remember, but their lack of customer service and sense of urgency prove why their brand is just as pitiful as they are.
I am truly appalled and it seems that Renault is not really bothered by this at all. I have read numerous complaints about this vehicle from various displeased customers with no response from Renault. How is this acceptable?
