Selling death traps and not taking responsibility

So I bought my first automatic and first brand new car from Renault Hatfield in 2021 Sept. This is after buying 8 second hand cars in the past leading to this purchase. It was my first auto and first brand new. I fell in love with the Kiger. Little did I know the horror story coming my way. After taking possession in Sept with a beautiful ceremony the trouble began. Mind you Jaco never gave me a test drive because he never had one available for me. I first tested it after purchase and I told him it was not so ok but he claimed it's because I never had an ATM transmission before so I believed him and took it. Basically from September I was at the dealership every month for a faulty this or that. But the biggest problem was when it nearly killed me, my 2 year old and then boyfriend (now husband). So we were driving on the highway N4 to Rustenburg when I was doing around 107km/h. So I was clear to overtake a truck and I started doing that. But as I went I to fast lane it started slowing down and dying on me all the way down to around 60 something. The truck kept being on my left and all the far cars caught up with me. I was ****ing myself as it would not go faster until I had to just hope and pray until the truck went forth and I moved back to the left. We got to our destination going slowly and on return it did the same thing but it was dying while I remained on the left. I called them the following morning to book it in as this happened month end Oct. I received a date of 17th Nov so I didn't put fuel and didn't drive it for 2 weeks. Then it went in and nothing was done and service advisor didn't even know what the vehicle came for because he only called to update me on the usb that wasn't working for the second time. Then I was told to continue driving it and hope for the best. When I first took it in mid Oct I found another one in the workshop apparently it died on the owner. And one mechanic mentioned this is frequent but hopefully it won't happen to me but I spoke with confidence and said I was only there for the usb so I doubt it. Little did I know what was coming. Then I complained to the dealership and Renault SA but head office person basically mentioned that these vehicles were faulty and required upgrade on software. Mind you it would forget to change gears on auto leaving a burned metal smell in the front grill after a drive. Fast forward no one wanted to take responsibility for this death trap as they were pointing fingers and dealership wanted R20k more to give me a new car. Nevermind my consumer rights stating that they sold something that failed to do its primary function. And they knew about it. So on top of that they sold me an extended service plan and chowder commission and the service provider didn't want to refund me even though it was future dated and I eventually had to get rid of the car following Jan as I could not drive or keep something that brought such fear to my family. Renault sells **** and I would not wish it on my loved ones.
