Renault's internal rules that dictates that a courtesy car can only be made available ten days after the faulty part/s have been ordered. Dealership refusal or unwillingness to help with courtesy cars.
I will never buy a Renault again. I bought my Renault Clio Blaze in April 2016 brand new because i work as a compliance inspector for the Northern Cape Gambling Board and needed a new and reliable car to travel with. For those of you that knows the Northern Cape you will know that it vast, towns are very far apart. I often have to travel to Springbok and Port Nolloth even so far as Alexander Bay. This was my wife's dream car, i was warned by one of my colleagues that complaint about endless problems with her Clio but my wife was insistent an we bought the Clio. By the way she sold her car and informed me that she had to scream very hard to get a courtesy car and only because she is working for the Northern Cape Consumer Authority. Nobody in Renault (the call centre and at the dealership) gave a flying s........t that my wife and myself must struggle to get to work and that i am must unable to travel to go and do my work, with the exception for the service advisers at the respective dealerships (Juan and Johan). Kagiso at the Renault SA call centre even told me that the dealer had no obligation to inform me of the warranty policy because it is a Renault internal process. Oh and that i should not raise my voice to him but that i must go to the Motor Vehicle Ombudsman and the Consumer Protector to voice my dissatisfaction. This is a clear indication that he is fully aware that it will not help my case anyway. So yes i will go and register a compliant with this bodies because as i told him that i would probably have changed my mind if the dealer to the time to explain this to me. But i will sell my car as soon as it is back in about 30 days because i only qualify for a loan car in 10 working days after the part has been ordered. I was informed that the harness wiring parts will only arrive in South Africa in 14 to 21 days and according to Multi Dealer in Bloemfontein it will take another week to work on. The manager in the Bloemfontein Multi Dealer where my car is referred me to the dealership in Kimberley where bought my car and said that i can then go to social media as i threatened. Clearly nobody in Renault is afraid of a little complaint.
