Renault will Rob you blind for parts and labour

Renault is an absolute *******........be warned. I bought a Renault duster AWD 2 years ago and the car is basically falling to bits. Every week something new breaks, however this is not the issue, the issue is Renault itself is a complete *******. Indicator Stalk: Headlights stop working at night. I have identified the problem as the cheap plastic indicator stalk, that is replaced very easily by undoing 4 torque *****s (approx. 3-5 mins labour). Online the same stalks go between R200 and R800. Renault wants R8500 for the super cheap plastic stalk and another R2900 to install. So to get my headlights working will cost R11400 the equivelent to 11 tanks of diesel or driving 10500km. Wiper Motor Renault quoted R8000; I bought one online that was identical for R300. Fan Resistor: I bought from Renault for R1900, you can buy 3 online for 2 USD dollars. These are all very cheap parts to replace, imagine what renault will charge if you need mechanical work done, more than the car is worth I bet.

Long story short if you love ****ing away your hard earned cash and being ********** at every opportunity buy a Renault. I purchased the duster because it is fuel efficient but every month I have to spend more money on parts than fuel.
