Renault Warranty issue and horrific service by Rossburg Renault

Good day, Writing is Nombuso Nokuthula Jila , a Renault Captur 2017 900T owner.

On the 11th September 2018, i safely drove to work and came back home that evening and safely parked my car in the evening with everything working just fine.

The next morning, my partner tried to open the car and it wouldn't open automatically so he had to open it manually on the passenger seat. A little later on i drove the car and noticed on the dashboard, there was a note written "check vehicle" it would than change to "esc" and something about "airbag". The car was moving with no issues besides that the indicators were not working, hazards were working and cruise control was not working. I managed to use the car that day.

On the 13th September 2018 , my partner took the vehicle to Renault Rossburg. The car was due for a service as well so they did it but had to keep it over the weekend. They advised me to change the battery to the cars recommended battery and they will order it, we did that and waiter for the battery, when the battery arrived there was hope that the issues would resolve but they didn't so we returned the car the following monday.

After that we waited for the whole month for the car. No one from the garage made an effort to call us and keep us updated regardinf the vehicle. When we called, Zanele(the person who was dealing with our case sh never gave us sufficient update and at times she would request us to drop the call so that she would call us back but she would never. We called her and she said she would send us a report of the vehicle findings but she didn't. The following week we called her again and she sent the report which had no description and was just a mechanical report so we had no idea what it meant. We requested to speak to the Manager named Andrew. He called us into a meeting , which we went. In the meeting the technician came and explained what the report meant. The technician said the report revealed a code "cc" which mean't that we could've crosspolled the vehicle and warranty would not cover it. So we explained that we did not crosspoll the vehicle and the vehicle was working optimally besides the issues forementioned. That day was a Friday 19th October 2018. The conclusion that was made that day was they would forward the matter to Renault South Africa so that further tests could be done on the vehicle. The manager promised us we would have a response by Monday latest.

We did not receive any further updates from the manager nor the technician regarding the matter. On the 25th October 2018, I sent Andrew a Whatsapp message( on our last neeting he had given us his business card and told us we could contact him on his cellphone). He read the message but did not reply when i asked for update on the matter.

On the 31st October, i sent him an sms. Fortunately; he rep**** that day and said they are waitinf for warranty to apporove.

On the 5th November 2018,i called him twice in the morning, he didnt pick up. I then calles again twice in the afternoon, he didnt pick up again. He also didnt get back to me,considering he has my number and knows exactly who i am.

We still don't know what is going on with the vehicle. It has been over a month, with no vehicle and there is so much insensitivity from the Rossburgh garage.

Kindly assist with regards to this matter, please. We are desperate, it's been too long and the way forward is not clear instead they are blaming us for something that we did not do because they even mentioned, that if the vehicle had been crosspolled, it would have yielded an instant effect but the vehicle was working until the 12th September 2018 morning.

Regards

Nombuso
