Renault Warranty is Disgraceful!

On (10 August 2018) I booked my vehicle Clio GT 2015, for a 60 000km service at the Renault Multifranchise Service Team in Cape Town. The service station adviser inspected my vehicle and I was recommended to leave the vehicle at the service station and that I would receive a call with the quote as the vehicle is not under a service plan. I received a call from the adviser during the day advising me that the thermostat was leaking and she will claim from the warranty pending confirmation from the warranty department. She received confirmation from the warranty department, however they only agreed to pay 75% of the part since the vehicle was exceeding the service period by 3000km’s. As per the Renault Warranty Policy; “This warranty policy covers any and all defects relating to material, fitting or manufacturing fault for a period of no more than 60 months (5 years) from the date of delivery or 150 000km, whichever comes first”. The Renault warranty claims to look after their customers and vehicles, however in my particular case the policy was disregarded. The service I have received thus far from Renault is far fails to display the integrity that Renault seeks to uphold. I am more than happy to pay for the service fee excluding the fee of the part that should be accounted for by the warranty.

The service from Renault has been utterly disgusting, I am being solicited by a company I trusted!
