Renault Vehicles

I bought a new Renault Kiger Turbo Intense CVT from Renault Centurion. The service when purchasing the vehicle was great. But the after sales service not the same. I informed them of the brakes making a metal to metal sound from 247 km. I had the vehicle more than 7 times at their premises and had a loan vehicle more than 4 times. Even the loan vehicles was making the same sound as if you have to replace something on the brakes. The vehicle is making a clapping sound intermittently as if the cv joints needs to be replaced as well. The fan is making a sound when you stop, intermittently. The aircon smells like sour milk when you had the aircon switched off and you switch it on again. (on a new vehicle) The last time I took it to Renault Centurion the service manager Waldo also took me on a test drive with the spares manager's vehicle which was exactly the same vehicle. This vehicle did exactly the same. My vehicle was also pulling to the left and every time they take it to Tyre Mart - then the next day, the same problem. His words to me was the ball is now in the hands of Renault SA as they cannot replace things they do not get authorization for from Renault SA as they need to proof it is faulty. I wanted the vehicle replaced as I bought a new vehicle and wanted the experience of a new vehicle with no problems. I phoned and emailed Renault SA several times. Because several of the Renault dealers know about this problem on their vehicles and they told me that this vehicle is made for France. My question why do you bring a vehicle to SA if it will have problems in SA with something like the brakes etc. Their feedback to me: Due to stringent Environment & Health Regulations, the use of asbestos in vehicle braking systems has been phased out, as the dust produced from asbestos-based brake components during normal operation can be harmful. It will not affect the functionality or the reliability of the vehicle. They do not even try to get a more qualified person out to try and repair the problem which obviously most of their vehicles have. I am very disappointed as I had to ask for time off from my manager to try and sort out the problems - I spend more than 3 of my Saturdays at their premises trying to sort out the problem apart from the loan vehicles they brought to my office and I cannot go anywhere as I am responsible for a loan vehicle. This is now from 28 February 2023 when I bought the vehicle - it is now September 2023. I have reported it now to the Ombudsman - not sure with the feedback will be from them.
