Renault tried to charge us for a water leak that didn’t exist

Absolutely disgusted at Renault Centurion. We took our car there for a service a week ago and half way through the service we were called and told that we had a water leak and that our break pads were damaged. They quoted us R7000 for the repairs.

We were shocked by the quote and decided to pay for the service only and rather go to another mechanic for the repairs.

We went to another reputable company a few days later. When their mechanic had a look at our car they said our water levels were perfect and couldn’t detect any leaks after searching for over 30mins. They also told us our discs behind the break pads were quite damaged, which Renault didn’t even inform us about. We also picked up that Renault didn’t even sign or stamp our service book after the service.

What they hell did we pay you for Renault? Did you even service our car???

We are shocked and are never going back there again.
