Renault Triber Faults - Safety Concern Not Addressed
I bought my wife a brand new Renault Triber from the Fourways Dealership South Africa Gauteng. Within the first two months of ownership we recognize the airbag signal light appear whilst travelling to Durban on holiday, we monitor this light and make a decision that we will check it out by a Renault in Durban if it is still showing on the instrument panel. Whilst travelling we notice the light has gone away and therefore consciously decide we will sort this issue out when back from holiday in Gauteng.
We took the vehicle back to Fourways in the morning and was told that this is a first time issue and that we needed to book the vehicle in for the next day, this was not an urgent enough issue for the dealership to deal with there and then which was shocking as the safety issue behind faulty airbag deployment should be considered a serious safety concern. Faulty airbag deployment can cause a serious injury concern or fatality for my family and this was brushed off as a minor concern.
We then took the vehicle to a Renault Dealership around the corner from our home in the Northcliff area. The dealership received the the car with noteworthy features of, airbag light issue, braking system making a noise like the engine brackets are loose, steering wheel making a noise when turned fully. The vehicle was sent back to us with no issues noted on the invoice, better yet, we must monitor the issues as they have found nothing, what nonsense is this. We then decided to take a video of this issue as we believed this vehicle was not checked and monitored for this issue amongst the other issues, what service is this?
Our vehicle is now at Northcliff Renault for the second time and it has been there for nearly a week with a call only being received this morning of the status of the car.
Poor service, never ever by this type of vehicle I would advise anyone, truly shocking experience with this brand of vehicle. Shocking.
