Renault stepway plus

Hello Peter. Could you please assist me with the following problem. I bought a Renault stepway plus last year in May. The car is still under warranty with +- 8500 mileage. On the 21st of January 2019 the car couldn't start. It was towed to Kokstad Renault. It stayed there for 2 full weeks. They had confirmed that the problem is with the starter and its a factory fault. Apparently a new starter was installed.

For those two weeks I've been struggling to move from point A to point B. My small business has also suffered because of that. I was told that I won't get a courtesy car because the warranty agreement does not allow that.

I fetched the car on the 5th of February and drove it from the 5th to the 8th of the same month and the car was back to square one. On the 11th it was towed back to Kokstad Renault The manager told me that they will check the car and as soon as they get the problem they will give me a courtesy car. I stayed there for the whole day without any update. I had to ask the manager about the progress. He told that the car will be checked the following day and promised to order a courtesy car for me. Today is the 13th and he is still telling me the same story.

I have tried several times to lodge a complaint with Renault S.A. but their phones are just ringing, there's no response.

My fear is, once the warranty expires, I will be stuck with this problem and I have to pop out money from my pocket to fix the starter problem. Renault has to give me a new car because I don't want to stuck with their problem.

Every month I pay the instalment for something I don't enjoy. I've learnt that I am not the only one who has this problem. I know about 3 people who bought stepway plus and have experienced a similar problem. Nthabi Shabalala has experienced this problem twice. I won't mention other names because I didn't get a permission from them. Mr Boni Gugushe has also experienced the starter problem although it is not similar like mine.
