Renault Sandero 900T Stepway Expression vin number VF15SRAAC***7, car reg. HB 77 DP GP

I am writing this letter to express my disappointment and frustration with Renault Fourways branch. As I write this letter time is 06:20 am date 1/9/2024. I bought a 2017 Renault Sandero 900T Stepway Expression vin number VF15SRAAC***7, car reg. HB 77 DP GP in August last year. The deal went through Absa and was finalized. The salesman being Venus Moodley from Fourways branch. Upon collecting the car realized the tires had not been changed, questioned this with Venus and he promised to get it fixed. Two months down the line, driver's door does not lock, you could see that someone has tried to fix it but failed, sensors not working, clutch issue. So, I take this up with salesman again, he tells me he will speak to his manager. The car starts giving me problems when I'm in KZN this December, just 3 months down the line. I take it to Renault Bruma, and they put the diagnostics in it and tell me to take back right away. I ask why and I am being told that the car shouldn't have been sold to me in first place. There is no way my insurance will cover the faults. I mean how do you deal with such? They are in Fourways for Christ's sake. I mean no pre-delivery inspection sheet, spare key and courtesy car. I contacted Rick Scott the dealer principal who got workshop assistant) to assist but I do not trust that car anymore. I could have had serious problems with the car. Not to mention that I have put my family's life in danger by driving that car. That car should have been auctioned and not financed. I am waiting for a report and I will then take this to MOI (Motor Industry Ombudsman).

At Renault SA please either find a car on a same price range that I can trust, paying almost the same installment or refund me my money. I do not want that car back. I am not risking my kids' lives. I do feel de*****ed somehow.

I really trusted the brand and the area in which I purchased my car. How is that car supposed to 5-year finance deal when it won’t even last a year.

To make things interesting, I call the salesman who sold me the car -he tells me he's resigned -what does that tell you?
