Renault SA has been of no help- Clio engine cuts out while driving
Having a Renault Clio has been an absolute nightmare & nearly cost me my life on more than one occasion. My 2017 Clio has only about 65000 on the clock, service book up to date and a recently replaced battery but the car has had 3 separate incidents of engine completely cutting out while driving. Like a literal dead stop out of nowhere (car dies completely, key card, dashboard and hazards don’t work at all) -with no warning lights, no errors popping up. It just stops out of nowhere on busy roads which could’ve caused serious accidents. Feels like a death trap.
After countless calls trying to get help with this very serious issue, Renault hasn’t been able to offer any solution and there’s been absolutely no sense of urgency. Renault in Cape Town claimed to have run diagnostics they found no issues but they “cleared codes from the car’s system” which they said would “solve” the problem but the problem wasn’t solved at all; I now have reason to suspect they didn’t really “fix” anything. I believe Renault SA is actually clueless when it comes to fixing their cars’ problems and they’re knowingly giving us cars that shouldn’t be driven at all! They don’t care about their clients! DO NOT BOTHER WITH RENAULT. 😡😡😡
