Renault SA brand not good as they claim it is.
I traded in my Renualt Kwid for a brand new Captur blaze 2019 in January. I drove the car with no complications untill Sunday morning when my accelerator padel broke. I contacted one of the branches in Kempton park regarding the broken accelerator padel Monday morning and I was advised to call the road side assistance for the car to be towed to the dealership for inspection. Tuesday morning the car was towed to the dealership and I was informed that it only went into the workshop for inspection on Wednesday and waited upon feedback for the warranty to be authorised on Thursday, the process took so long that I had to consistently call and I was told the department is closed for stock taking for 3 days. Friday morning I received a call from Annelise at Renault Kempton park asking if my car has been involved in an accident or fixed/maintained before and my answer was no to both questions. According to my knowledge the car has warranty and I know very well that if I'm unhappy with something in my car then I need to contact the dealership directly at NO COST. Unfortunately I was told that the accelerator padel was tempered with and "it looks like some part of the car was open before" which I disagree because my car has never went for maintenance before but service. I called the customer care to laise my complaint and spoke to Kagiso Mtshali and I was advised to arrange a meeting with the Renault Kempton Park Service Manger and escalate to the Motor Industry Ombudsman of SA if the query is not resolved. I then reverted back to the dealership and spoke to Annelise and I was told that the Service Manager is on leave for 3 weeks and there's no acting Service Manager available which means I can't be assisted in any other way by the dealership. I then asked for a quote for the part and labour to fix my car while I escalate the matter to the Motor Industry Ombudsman SA, sadly I was told that they do not have the part and need to order it abroad and it might be delivered next year, NEXT YEAR and this is a big brand, Renault we're talking about. I don't even want to think of worse things that could happen to this car while driving it in future and being told stories AGAIN. I wish the same energy they invest when we buy their cars would be the same energy they give when we as customers have problems
I'm unhappy with the Service rendered by the company itself and the product. I traded in for the same brand with an intention of having a peaceful drive with a new car and transparency from the company. This is the first I've heard of a padel that breaks, especially from a brand new car and not to mention brake pads that needs immediate attention with a car driven not more than 15000km. I regret buying a car from Rnault with all my heart and wouldn't advise anyone to buy it. I'm so disappointed that I can't be assisted and all I'm told is that I need to escalate with the MIOSA.
