Renault-hole in exhaust after warranty has just expired

I bought a used Renault 2020 Kwid from Renault boksburg in September 2021 with low mileage ( 12464)

I was informed that the standard warranty on the vehicle is 5yr / 150 000km and certain parts will only be covered for a year which was the clutch, aircon regas and battery.

I didn't want to take any chances and took out an extra booster warranty and service plan.

On Friday 22nd of December I was shocked to year a funny noise and drove to Renault Boksburg, I was told they can't assist me that day as they had to many bookings and I was asked to go back on Wednesday the 27th of December.

On Wednesday the 27th of December as requested I went back to Renault Boksburg ( east rand ) and told them about my suspicion that the noise is coming from the exhaust which was confirmed upon inspection.

I was immediately told that my factory warranty has expired according to them and I informed them I have taken out a booster warranty incase of something like this happens, to my shock the lady told me she doesn't believe that the exhaust is covered on the booster warranty and I would have to pay it myself.

So just a few months after the "warranty expires", my exhaust has a small hole in which I now have to pay. The car is 3 years old and I have the car for 2

I would advice anyone who wants to buy a Renault new or used not to do so. I am not a happy customer.
