Renault Hillcrest

Andrew at Renault alpine hillcrest is the cliche ‘second hand salesman’. No moral compass or professional work ethic! Renault had a 2nd vehicle and I contacted then and was out through to Andrew. Just before 5. Asked him for a good price where he said R230 000. But advertised on Autotrader for R229800. (I have the screenshots) said we would confirm the deal the next morning. As I’m trying to arrange flights etc we chat the next day firstlyat about 10:30, I sent a screenshot of the autotrader price, and say deal is on. Spoke again at 11:50. We confirm the deal, where I said “give me 10min to chat to the wife”. Phone back at 12:20 whereby he tells me the car is booked by someone paying deposit at another alpine dealership in their group. And he couldnt secure it for me as I didn’t pay a deposit. Upfront I told him I’m a cash buyer and he never mentioned anything about a deposit. At the same time, price had changes to R239890 on autotrader (again screenshots available). Numerous WhatsApp’s messages go ignored. Just to say I’ll never buy a Renault, or from the alpine group. This guy is ************ to say the least. Btw the add is still on autotrader and Renault Hillcrest website, as of a week later.
