Renault Duster Poor Custumer Care Entry Level SUV with Entry Level Customer Care once the car is bought
Logged a complaint on the Renault South Africa website and no one came back to me. My car has had rust which I was told was superficial, however my main concern was that the car pulled extremely left which was fixed after a 5th visit at Renault Bryanston. Also my rear brakes had been squeeking and this had been looked at a 5th time too. I have booked the car in next week 30 August with Renault Bryanston as the automatic gearbox does not shift smoothly in heavy traffic and makes the car shudder it is getting worse. The car will be in a fifth time for the rear brakes squekking and now the gearbox shuddering. This car barely had 10 000 km on before this started.

Good day Lebo and Don
I have referred the car to Renault Bryanston for the gearbox kickdown not working.
Please advise whom I refer this matter for litigation would it be Renault SA or Multifranchise, kindly note my findings below as Reanult SA would also have been aware of this advert mentioned in my main body of the email:
The car has given me issues that are not normal considering its age and mileage, to sum up the issues: steering pulling to the left (fixed but not 100%), severe rust (no one confirmed to me if this is acceptable not even the logbook has been signed off under the corrosion check) and the gearbox shuddering (was advised it is within the parameters and it’s an illusion) and now the kickdown on the gearbox not working, it does not drop a gear when trying to overtake.
All became clear to me when by chance I did research on this car:
It has come to my attention that a Renault video has been made of my car in the Easter Cape, please see screenshots attached. Before I am advised this is an illusion or it is not my car, the car has my number plates and thus it is my car and also explains the severe rust thus it is my car. New cars have a break in procedure as per the user manual and since I had my car from about 7000 km adverts take months to make thus I presume my car was definitely under the 3000km mark and subject to this break in procedure.
However in the video (this will be my main point for litigation) it is clear my car is being driven way over its break in suggestion as per the manual and my car is also driven on the beach, thus explaining the severe rust on the steering and undercarriage components. I am fully aware how media agents operate and I am most certain this is where the steering and suspension issues had been picked up and definitely the rust issue on the undercarriage and steering components in addition to the squeaking brakes that I had to take into Renault Bryanston several times. I was advised this is a Demo car and was at the dealerships only, thus I have been misled.
What is also very concerning is that my number plate is reflected and has not been hidden, anyone can now clone the plate and duplicate my number plate when they ***** a Renault Duster or have the same Renault Duster to avoid tollgates ect. This is also against the Protection of Personal Information Act and depending on the response I receive I will also contact them on the severe breach on the matter.
In short my main legal argument will be that my car was not handled in the manner a new car should have been and thus I am experiencing issues with the gearbox as it had been driven hard while it was new and I will also link all the rust issues to most of the issues I am experiencing on the car and possibly to the gearbox too if it’s not due to hard driving while new.
I will settle for my deposit paid as I know litigation is a lengthy process in addition to Renault SA shrugging off their responsibility. Kindly advise of Renault SA response and Multifranchise response.
