Renault Clio Defaults

To whom it may concern This post will mainly contain information of my new Renault Clio Expression 2019 that I bought in August 2019. I bought this car at Renault Table View. I traded it in with my 2016 Renault Clio Expression due to the fact that I was so happy with my Clio. I am not anymore.

I drove my Clio 2016 model for 3 years and decided to get a new one in 2019. I chose the same car new model because it was supposed to be a good car. The 2016 model never gave me any problems. Now it is a different story.

The car has been taken back to the dealership on two occasions (First in October) for several faults with it. It is now just getting worse. Initially I took the car for the driver's side door that didn't close properly and the car had an intermittent jerking. I took it in again on the 12th of November for the second time. By this time my boot cover would not go back and the door was still not fixed. The Smash and Grab was also damaged but they replaced it . The boot cover was fixed although the jerking of the car did not improve. The car was put through a diagnostic test and I was told that if my fuel consumption is not very heavy I should not worry about the jerking. I did not accept this as an answer.

I am today still waiting on someone from the Branch to contact me with regards to my car jerking and should they phone me now I will only have a few more complaints. More than what I had. The front passenger seat is "squeaking" (Excuse the term) and the car is making funny sounds when not driving on a straight flat road.

One of my friends actually bought the exact same car just because I only praised a good car. I am now thinking I shouldn't have sang that song as I am so very disappointed in the car and the service I got. I have tried my part on taking my car every time but it is now only wasting my time, money and kilometers on my car. I have also contacted the customer care and there was no hope. The request is to take my car in once again. How long will this continue? 5 years until my warranty expires? How many kilometers, days and petrol do I have to waste before I get what I paid for. This car is supposed to be brand new and unfortunately I know how it should be.

Renaults mission states “Easy life : our promise is to support you, to match your needs and to make your life easier and better. I would rather have my 2016 model back if that is how they want to make my life easier.

According to The Consumer Protection Act Part H, Section 53 - a defect refers to any material imperfection. This car is far from perfect. Part H Section 55 states that consumers have the right to safe, good quality goods. (b) are of good quality, in good working order and free of any defects. Yet again not free from defects

I have now contacted Renault France in order to get some assistance as my previous attempts and Renault South Africa brought me no results.
