Renault Cleo's ....... airbags dont deploy ...... are there even any

<p>My son was in an accedent on the 6/4/2016 with my Renault Cleo exactly one week ofter its 40 000km service. He drove into another cars rear to the extent that both cars were written off. <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>To my horror the airbags did not deploy</strong></span>. One of the reasons I decided to buy this car was for the safety features that the vehicle had to offer. When my car had been serviced I expected it to be in perfect working order. This was not the case. I requested an investigation to be carried out. The report sent back to me stated..... Due to the damaged steering lock, activation of the Multiplex Network was not possible, preventing interogation of the Airbag. Surely this is unacceptable. Surely the airbag should deploy immidiately once the g-forse of the crash has been reached. The damage to my car...both headlights, grill, bumper, bumper cross member, bumper cross member suppord compressed. Steering coulum damaged, airconditioning condensor deformed, front fender damaged. The whole front of the car was smashed. I am not prepared to accept this.</p>
