Renault Captur Gearbox

I own a Renault Captur, a vehicle with a known generic issue on the gearbox, specifically the transmission module. It was recently discovered that I too fell victim to this fault and need to fork out in excess of R20 000. It gets worse, before the part was ordered, I needed to pay a 50% deposit, on the 13th of February. To date there is absolutely no progress on the order of the part. I was advised by Kreesan Subramony that an ETA can only be determined two weeks after the order is placed. So for two weeks absolutely nothing happens, and then only can Renault advise the customer when the part can be expected even after the customer has paid a hefty deposit. I cannot understand how this part is not held in inventory when this is a know generic issue with the model or how the process takes so long with the audacity of requesting the customer to pay a huge some of money. I start a new job on 2 March 2023 and have no way of getting there thanks to Renault and their lack of efficiency and initiative.
