Reanualt Fourways/South Africa is a complete let down

Where to start?! I bought a brand new Renault Stepway from Renault Fourways for in Feb 2018. Four months after the purchase the car would not start and was giving issues.

It was then taken to Renault Bethelem in the Free State as the person using it lives in the Free State. There, a 45minutes drive from my home, Renault Bethlehem stated the problem is the ignition and starter (mind you the car was brand new and only 4 months old when this happened) and they would have to replace it, which they did. A bit confusing considering the car was brand new and hardly driven in the four months it had been purchased.

Again, 8 months since the "new starter" was replaced, the car is giving the same problem and not starting or switching on. It was taken in AGAIN to Renault Bethlehem where they are claimed it is the starter AGAIN! The mechanic at Renault Bethlehem showed "shock" that the car is giving the same problem as it can not be fixed twice for the same problem.

We purchased the car at the Renunalt in Fourways and the salesman who helped us is aware of the situation as we took the car back there and they simply did nothing to help.

The car was not "drivable" for 2/3 months and when eventually we could take to Renault Bethlehem to get the ignition and starter replaced, a warning light keeps going and they simply shrugged their shoulders. Renault has truly let us down and even a trade-in with them is not an option anymore. The service plan has been depleted yet the car has not even gone in for a full service. Truly disappointed.
