Put my family live at risk

Good day I have purchased a Renault Kwid 2019 model from the Renault Gateway branch in 2019. Everything went well and was sold a car that was great. The sales representative Jerome gave a great service. In 2020 I contacted Jerome advised him my wife is due in June and since will be needing a bigger car so that can carry baby pram and things. Thinking since Jerome just had a child of his own and thinking he will sell a proper car that will be save for my family. Little did I know he **** and put my families lives at risk by making me think by lying that he have great vehicle that have no issues which was a Renault sandero 2012 model and he even said he giving us motor warranty for free for a year after he spoken to his manager. I thinking they were been fathers and had a heart traded in my Renault kwid for the **** deal that they offered for the Sandero. The kwid had around 28000km on the clock and had no issues when it was traded in for this deal. Within a month I took the Sandero in for service as Jerome had advised they will do a free service , I advised Jerome while the car in for service to check the breaks of the car and that I have brand new front breaks in the car boot ( please see attached whatsapp chat conversation to confirm this). When I picked up the car after service Jerome advised that they did not replace the breaks , car came back dirty was not even washed. On my way home from picking up the car I stopped at a garage to fill fuel and one time asked them to check the oil and water in the car. The attendant advised that the power steering fluid was very low and I bought a bottle of power steering fluid and got it filled not thinking there was any issue. The covid lockdown started and I, having a youth organisation, was delivering food hampers to the needy. I noticed that the breaks on the car is not holding that well and the hand breaks was extremely high which felt like the hand breaks going to pop out when pull the hand break is up. One day while driving, it was myself and my relative in the car, the breaks failed and caused the car to slam and hit the left side tyre on the curb. I had to replace the tyre as the tyre burst and the wheel rim was damaged. This accident has resulted in making the spine injury I had previously to become worse and the spinal disk to shift more onto the spinal cord causing me to lose movement of my limbs and having now a medical condition. I took the car to a breaks and suspension shop that was opened to get the car wheel alignment done and get breaks checked. I as advised that the front breaks was extremely low and needed to be replaced and when they opened the drum of the back breaks they saw that the back breaks was also extremely low and the adjustors for both side breaks were cable tied and broken. I contacted Jerome he advised me to take the car in to the dealership and to see his manager and matter will be sorted out (please see attached chat screenshot) thinking the arrangement is already made, I took the car in to Jerome’s manager as planned , the manger was arrogant and basically chased me of from the dealership stating he knew nothing and when showed him the chat with Jerome he advised that Jerome did not inform him of anything and that I had to call the Renault office and they will see which day during that week or next that they can check the car. This was in May and my wife was due anytime. So I went to a s**** yard and bought the part and got is fixed as it had already caused one accident I did not want to put mine or my family’s lives at risk as this is my only vehicle and only means of transport. I then posted the matter on facebook to Renault gateway and was then contacted to come see the service manager Kromrin on a set date, when I went in to see Kromrin I was advised that he is not in. I took with me the breaks and the invoices. Then Jerome manager comes out and infront of my relative he starts screaming and says that they won’t sort it out and throw the invoice back at me. So basically I was made a stupid and embarrassed. Within 6 months of taking the trade in deal the car started to leak oil so I took the car in. It was quite a bad leak, resulting in the loss of a lot of oil. I was advised that the car was leaking power steering fluid as the power steering switch is damaged. I then was told that they have submitted a motor warranty claim and awaiting feedback. Ishwar, a service advisor, that advised me that the claim was rejected , I then contacted bidvest to see why the claim was rejected and was advised that Ishwar submitted a claim for power steering pipe and not the switch therefore the claim was rejected. Bivest emailed me a copy of the quote they received from Ishwar. I then contacted Ishwar and asked him what he submitted a claim for he advises he submitted for a switch and not a pipe ( please see attached recording) , so basically Ishwar showed that he is a ****. They then resubmitted a claim for a power steering switch and then it was fixed. If I had not taken the initiative to call Bidevest and query why the claim was rejected, I would have been forced to pay for the repairs myself. This is unacceptable customer service, especially as I did not even receive an apology. During September, I took my wife and daughter for a family programme in Durban Central on the way back from the programme, it was raining heavily so I put wipers on and the wipers just stopped working. This ,again, put our lives at risk as I could not see the road. I had to stop the car at a garage and saw that the wiper blade went below the windscreen rubber . Recently, due to the accident caused by the breaks failing, my spinal injury worsened to the extent that I had not gone to work for over a month. I have had to visit numerous doctors and have been in and out of hospital. This has made me loose income and also incur very high medical bills, because my body goes numb. One day, going home from work while having an attack where my body goes numb, the car broke down. The car was then towed to the Renault dealership to get it checked and I was advised that the fuel pump was damaged. This left me stranded without a car to go to work and made me use a transport which cost me a lot. This have been worst experience and left me traumatised. The matter was then taken up to Renault customer service and I was advised that Kromrin says that they have fixed the cable tie breaks. I was advised to send through proof that I have sorted the breaks out and not the dealership. Which I did send them proof and this showed again how Renault Gateway lies and act all innocent and have no customer ethics and care. I was sms by Kromrin stating that the car is ready to be picked up and that when I come through he wants to have a meeting with me. I rep**** back stating that I don’t want to meet with him alone without a lawyer or another outside individual present. When I went to pick up my car and was in a rush to pick up the car and go to mosque Kromrin showed no ethics by not listening to what I did advise him in the sms comes and starts interrogating me about who I got to fix the breaks and stated that no worries if anything else breaks its fine the car is under a motor warranty. This showed so much ********* behaviour and no morals of Renault as they don’t respect their customer. Fearing what else they may do as they already showed such behaviour I drove the car away. The car steering wheel had oil or grease on it and other parts of the car too, there was also cigarette ash on the car seat and the left side floor mat damaged. When I stopped I checked the oil and water in the car and saw the water bottle was dry yet I had filled the car water bottle 6 days ago. This did not make sense, I filled the water bottle and when returned home from work noticed that there was water leaking. (please see attached photos). By Kromrin making the statement he did that if anything breaks the car is under a motor warranty shows that they knew that they did by lying and convincing me to trade in my perfectly working car for this not road worthy car. The only way this matter can be resolved is if they are held liable and either take this car back and replace it with a car that is road worthy and will not be putting my family’s lives at risk or they return the kwid that I had.

I really don’t know how the Renault brand can be associated with such individuals who show that they don’t care for customers and have no morals or ethics in them. It seems as since these individuals made money from us they now don’t care for our lives and seems like want to kill us as our lives been put at risk by the car they **** and convinced us to take
