Poor service from Renault

Poor Service from Durban Renault I bought a Motor vehicle, Renault Cleo iv 2014 model in October 2014 from Renault Durban, Cnr of K.E. Masinga & Florence Nzama Road and my Sales man was Mr Johnny Baruti. My Car is still under Warranty which will expire in October 2019 since it is 5 years. In am having a Problem with my Card Keys which are not locking my car. I reported the matter to Renault on 11 July 2019 since I cannot lock my motor vehicle, I was told that the keys are damaged and the car cannot be locked manual. I was assisted by the Maggie Vilakazi in Admin section who told me that I do not have to pay since my car is still under Warranty. Later on the very same day I saw a missed call from Renault and I than proceeded to them and I was informed that customer service said I need to pay an amount of R3288, 48 which is half of the amount for both keys . I ask for the reason for that payment and I was told that it because I was not servicing the vehicle on time which is not true. I checked my kilometers and they told me about the anniversary date for the service which I was not told when I purchased the car.

Even the service book was issued to me last year June 2018 upon requesting it sales man did not border to give me a service book when purchasing a car and when i had a problem he mention what the key has to do with the service but after he discussed it with his colleagues he said he got nothing to do with it , my vehicle is programmed to send the vehicle for Service in every 10 000 km, they never reprogrammed it and all along I did not have any service book. I asked them what the key has to do with the service and I was answered by Maggie that it is their policy of which I was not told when I purchased the car. What worries me the most my vehicle is not locked and I perform my duties with this car which is not locking. According to the Maintainance plan booklet it is written that the keys needs to be replaced in every 3 years of which they never did it and never even change the key battery. They told me that I need to pay 50% of the amount. Both keys are not functioning and even the spare key is not functioning. They told me that they got nothing to do unless I pay that R 3 288.48 which I don’t understand why am I paying because they knew very well that this key works up to a certain period and I was not informed when I purchased the car. It been 4 weeks with a car which could not be locked.
