Poor service from Newcastle branch

Good morning.

Just a quick rundown of the service I received at Renault Newcastle.

Tuesday morning we walk into Renault Newcastle as we are car-hunting. Still very early - you can see they are not completely open yet. Still we get served - test driving the 2 vehicles we decided we liked. Eventually we decide on the Duster - blue in color etc.

SO the salesman asks for this and that which I do not have on me. He says he will send me a mail with the detail he needs. Back home at 9am and I check my mailbox. Empty.

That evening I decide to send a mail and voice my concern about the service received in this regard. Very early the next morning I get a call from this sales "executive". Apparently there is a problem and Wesbank needs some more papers. So I mail this to him. On the question why he never sent the mail on Tuesday I got a VERY long "story".

Now we already lost a day in he process. On thursday he tries to phone me - on every number imaginable but my number. Wow - what a genius. Guess the paperwork we filled in was of no use.

Thursday late afternoon I get a call - on one of the other numbers again (luckily I was close to that phone to hear it ring). The news was good - Wesbank approved the loan and the paperwork and all will be finalised by Friday.

Now, as you can see, this is Sunday - still no vehicle.

On Saturday I sent him a whatsapp mesaage as that was one of the ways we communicated. Half an hour later I try phoning him on his mobile. No answer. An hour later I get a whatsapp text stating that Wesbank did not finalise on Friday and all will be done on Monday.

My concern is this - communication is lacking - seems like the only time I get a response is if I phone or send a mail to ********** Seems like this is not of priority to anyone but me - even after I did explain to this sales "executive" that time is of the essence as I am flying out of the country this week and would like to finalise before then.

Yes, given, there were some glitches with Wesbank - but then again - in all my years of buying vehicles no bank has taken up to a week to grant (or disaprove) a loan for a vehicle.

On Thursday I got a call that my vehicle (Blue Renault Duster diesel) has arrived. So we took a ride there to look at it. I switched the ignition on - and for a new vehicle that just arrived it already had 40km on the odometer. Is this usual - and furthering this trend - I will check this again before I sign any paperwork - should this figure be much higher I will kind of not take it and will insist on a new vehicle - besides, I did purchase a new one - not a demo vehicle.

Hope this mail is very clear and without misunderstanding
