Poor quality

My 2016 Renault Sandero Stepway has a tear in the driver side console carpet. Heaven knows where it is coming from because one's feet does no go near the spot. The car went in for a 60,000 km service and I was told it is not covered by the warranty. The tear has been there since the previous service but I never mentioned it because one forgets as it is not a critical issue. However from a product quality point of view it is unacceptable. The service garage, Renault George, informed me that it was not covered by the warranty and that was it. The issue here is, will I ever buy a Renault again? Not very likely.
