Pathetic Service

My husband purchased a brand new Renault Captur from Renault Durban for me and fetched the vehicle from Durban on 3 December 2017. He personally drove the vehicle to Cape Town from Durban as it would have taken Renault 14 to 20 days to have the vehicle delivered to Cape Town.

He was given temporary licence plates. Everytime he questioned the Manager Vishal or the Sales Person Keroshen when the licence was going to be sorted out he was told that there was a delay in obtaining the log book from Renault SA.

The vehicle was purchased in his business name. Eventually he was told that the vehicle had to be registered on the eNatis data base. Documents was forwarded to him and he spent two days at the traffic department to sort this out. In the meantime the last temporary licence expired on 4 February 2018.

Included in the purchase of vehicle was service fees for registration of the vehicle. He was then advised on Friday by Keroshen to take the vehicle to Renault Tygervalley to obtain COR for the vehicle. When he contacted Anton Botha at Renault Tygervalley he was advised that Keroshen had not even spoke to him. On Saturday 17 February 2018 he contacted Keroshen again and he advised that on Monday 19 February 2018 he was going to make arrangements with Renault Paarden Island Branch to assist him. He still does not even have a contact person at that branch.

The problem we have is that the vehicle is unlicensed and if there is an accident "God Forbid" we will not be covered by our insurance. He has escalated this issue to the new manager at Renault Durban Donovan, the principle dealer, the regional manager and nobody has given him feedback to assisted with resolving this issue. He has to continuously call Renault Durban they do not even call him to provide feedback.
