Ongoing Mechanical Issues with Renault Klimber

I am writing to formally express my concern regarding persistent issues with my Renault Klimber, which I purchased in October 2024. Despite being a brand-new vehicle, it has displayed several ongoing faults that have not been permanently resolved.

The primary concern is the faulty petrol gauge, which continues to give inaccurate readings. Additionally, the car consistently lacks power, and there is now a new issue—a noticeable noise coming from the front side of the vehicle. Although I have taken the car in for assessment multiple times, the service team’s repeated resets have only offered temporary fixes. I am reaching a point where the dealership is likely very fami**** with me due to the frequency of my visits.

On the evening of Saturday, 24 February, I filled up the car with fuel. However, by Monday, 26 February, the gauge showed that the tank was empty. The “kilometers-to-empty” reading is also highly inconsistent, fluctuating from 300 km down to 270 km within minutes of driving, then back up to 290 km, and so on. This raises serious concerns about the car’s fuel efficiency and reliability.

For example, during a recent trip to Kimberly, I filled up in Johannesburg. By the time I reached Bloemhof, the fuel indicator showed empty. When I stopped to refill, the attendant noted there was still a significant amount of fuel in the tank. I added R150 worth of petrol, which unexpectedly pushed the fuel gauge back to full.

As this car is meant for long-term use, I am growing increasingly dissatisfied with its performance. The petrol consumption is unreliable, and I am concerned about the overall safety and value of the vehicle. It is frustrating to be paying R5,000 per month for a car that consistently underperforms.

I kindly request that this matter be thoroughly investigated and a permanent solution be provided. I trust that Renault takes customer concerns seriously and will act swiftly to resolve this matter.
