Non-existing customer service at Renault Stikland
My Duster stalled on Monday,12 Aug 2019 near Nyanga and was supposed to be towed to Tokai, as agreed with Road Assist. However, Road Assist, decided to have it towed to Kraaifontein (contractor who agreed to tow's base) because none of the towing companies within the Nyanga radius were prepared to go to Nyanga after 18h00. The understanding was that the vehicle will then be towed to Renault Tokai the next day. I phoned Renault Tokai at 12h00, 13 Aug as no contact has been made by Road Assist and neither by Renault, only to discover that it was not booked at Tokai. Road Assist Customer Care promised to revert back to me with the necessary info - I'm still waiting. I phoned the tow truck contractor on who advised that the vehicle is at Renault Stikland and we were assured that the vehicle has been booked in for assessment. We were informed on 14 Aug that the problem has been ascertained. Upon follow-up on 15 Aug it was then communicated to us that the vehicle will only be worked upon next week. I then requested for a courtesy car as I know that Renault promises to provide assistance to their customers in instances where it will take some time to fix the vehicle. The person assigned to us, told us that they are unable to assist, i just need to wait until the vehicle is fixed next week. An email was sent to the customer care manager on 17 Aug and follow-up message left with the reception - todate no response (telephonic or email) has been received. Sub-standard service is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. Renault Stikland can learn a thing or two from Renault on how to live the Renault Promise. Regards,
