No after sales service. Terrible Reliability. Unable to deliver essential goods to crucial role players in the Covid-19 Defence.
Experiences of buying a Renault in South Africa. Read reviews before purchasing a renault to save yourself from a lot of headaches. Bought a Duster 4x4 last year. Hasn't even been 40 000km and the clutch needs to be replaced. Been hearing about the same problem from many other owners and Renault always blames the owner and they have to end up paying for it even though it's covered in the warranty. To make matters worse, I am an essential supplier to Covid 19 defence teams who require protection and I can't deliver? No parts are available in the country to fix the vehicle and when asking if a courtesy vehicle can be arranged they don't even bother trying. They (Lucy Kgomoeswana) (Supposedly a senior customer care consultant) immediately rejects it. So Renault South Africa would rather leave customers stranded when the damage to the vehicle is due to quality issues. The vehicle should have been recalled if it's happening to everyone. If they told me I have to replace a clutch every year I wouldn't have bought the vehicle in the first place. My friend who drives a Vw had a problem with his car, they also didn't have parts to fix it, but they OFFERED to arrange a courtesy car. Shows the difference in customer service. Very disappointing.
