Never Buy a Renault
I Owned one a 2014 Renault Sandero T900 Expression and was impressed with this vehicle and got great service out of this vehicle for 4 years.
I then decided to trade my vehicle in on a new 2018 Renault Sander Stepway Dynamique T900 , if I knew then what I know now I would have never traded in my perfectly great vehicle to experience such bad service and a vehicle which was not in the condition for me to take delivery.
The vehicle is supposed to be Brand new right? and the day of Delivery should be exciting as you are proud of your new vehicle. The Vehicle was not up to standard for delivery such as the vehicle being dirty inside on the windscreen frames, the dash was scratched, the carpets were not in the vehicle and the car was covered in rust marks, my glove compartments light kept flashing randomly and needless to say I was disappointed.
I made the Sales consultant aware of my issues I had with the vehicle and I was told to bring my vehicle in so list could be made of the issues and so they could be rectified. At this point I was already uneasy that they were wanting to work on a brand new vehicle and whether I would get it back in a good condition.
I had a father that feel ill and was unable to book the car in and booked it in two months later having done quite a bit of kms on the vehicle due to travelling from Kempton park to Springs. I then booked my car in for a Valet at the dealership and needless to say my fears became a reality. The car had now looked worse then before as during removal of the rust the whole body of the vehicle was now scratched. I then called the Sales Manager again and told him how disappointed I was and that I was now sitting with extra scratches on the dash etc which were not there before the Valet.
At this point I saw the manager again and at this point I wanted to just give the car back and cut my loses but I would be on the losing end of this the whole way as its new deal. I traded in a vehicle on this deal and will lose deposit etc while the dealership smiles and does nothing, I then proceeded to call Renault SA Customer Care to lodge my complaint and until today 3 weeks later no answer has been given and no-one has come back to me as promised.
Unless I constantly phone after the dealership or the customer care line it seems that I will now be left with a car in bad condition and one day when I would like to sell I lose some more.
How is this right that a vehicle like this was allowed to leave the Reanult dealership floor? I appreciated the Manager attempting to fix my issues I was having but proceeded to make it worse and 3 weeks later I still sit in the same boat and feels like no one cares.
I want my car resolved and sorted out as I fell that this is not the level of service a new car customer should receive from a dealership as well as a customer care of the Manufacturer. I have never been so disappointed in all my life with a vehicle purchase and wanted to keep this car for 5 years but just want to get rid of it.
Due to this I will never purchase a Renault again and will never do business with Renault again either.
My Faith has been lost in this dealership and their service and their professionalism as well as trying to resolve a client's problem with their vehicle. When you pay your hard earned money for a car you expect the car to be in perfect condition. All I now sit with is debt , a car payment and insurance that has to be paid monthly for a car that I am dissatisfied with.
So a Word of advice Never buy a Renault ever!!!!
