Negligence by service department

Had my car serviced at Renault Woodmead last year for the 45000km service with only 37000km on the clock. His year I took it back to Renault woodmead with only 4000km clocked for the past 12 months, bringing the mileage to 41000. Upon inspecting the vechile, they informed me that both the break pads and break disks need to be replaced.

I find this to be huge neglect on Renault’s side as when they inspected the vehicle in 2017, they should’ve ensured that the break pads have sufficient wear to last 15000 km to the next service. Now after only 4000km both the break pads and disks had to be replaced.

Whilst accepting my obligation to pay for the brake pads, I feel that Renault should reimburse me for the break disks as this is clearly failure to inspect the vehicle’s safety properly in 2017.
