Horrify experience at Renault Northcliff South Africa needless to say Renault SA

If there was a (-) rating I would have selected definitely it - Read my current horrific experience with Renault Northcliff and Renault SA this past week and half below. Still not concluded!

Good afternoon everyone,

I trust this e-mail finds you all well.

Please urgently assist and advise the way forward as I am somewhat perturbed in the manner this entire situation is handled since the vehicle was towed in to Renault on the 08th of May 2024, which I must be honest not used to, because I always spoken highly of Renault with regards their professional service in the past, but unfortunately not this time, which I am very concerned, because to date they can’t give us the guarantee that the car will be fixed, after they have done a four hour investigation (for a vehicle that is standing at Renault for almost a week), after we have told them that it is costing us an arm and leg for an uber, whilst they are taking their time to try and ascertain what the problem is. We subsequently were provided with an enormous quote, but still they can’t give us the assurance that the parts mentioned in their email that those part quoted will resolve the problem, which I really think is unfair, because at the end we pay the bill for Renault’s trial and error method, which I have never expected from a Renault approved Dealership.

We are at out wit’s end and now reach out to you, overseeing the Renault Dealerships to ensure that we as the consumer are treated fairly and request to please escalate this matter and resolve it amicably. I have emailed the service Advisor again this morning(15th May 2024), but to no avail, as she is not in today, we only found out that she wasn’t in by phoning the dealership as we did not receive a reply from her nor an out of office message. My wife then subsequently called the office to speak the Manager and got his email, who was involved from the start and has sent the same email sent to the Service Advisor to him for an urgent response and again wasn’t surprised by his late response. He eventually called me back at 13:49 (15th May 2024), I then told him that one of the parts reflecting on the quote, was working, because he confirmed on Monday (13th May 2024) that he took it out of our car and tested it in a friend’s car and it worked, then why quoting on a part that is working, which he rep**** and said that he will get his bearings together as well as how far he is with testing the other part/s to ensure that the vehicle is running and not cutting out anymore, but again no word from him. What a great example for Mangers out there.

I really thought that we were in good hands at Renault South Africa, but wow, were I wrong!!!! No Joy!!!!

Good luck with Renault South Africa - They call you back once an then you need to follow them up - Shocking!!

Believe you me, I will not leave it here!!! I will also bring it to the attention of Mr Shumani Tshifularo - CEO - Motus Vehicle Distributor: Renault Importer
