Horrific Repair Experience

I can't believe I'm having to write this review on Hellopeter, but here goes. I've had the most horrific experience of my life recently with Renault Gqeberha (Seamans). My Renault duster was in for repairs on 11 DEC 2024 with a prematurely failed turbo at 105000KMs. My duster was a few months out of warranty and I had to fork out over around R40k for the repair. Bitter pill to swallow, but I did. The turbo was reconditioned by a local RMI accredited turbo shop, and refitted by Seamans renault. Only problem was, they did not address the root cause of the turbo failure before refitting the turbo, so only after refitting the turbo did they figure out that the oil pump was malfunctioning. So, I was quoted for a new oil pump, but the damage had already been done unfortunately. My duster was handed over to me with a strange noise upon accelerating, which the turbo shop later diagnosed as the turbo failing both flow and balance tests. Now, Renault does not want to take responsibility for their own negligence, and I am still without a vehicle almost two months later. No courtesy car, no sympathy, nothing. They also want to charge me again to have the turbo removed and refitted again. Another R6K. How on earth? Think twice before entering into any relationship with Renault SA. I'm currently pursuing RMI mediation and this might go all the way to the ombudsman eventually.
