Frustrated with Renault Vaal & SA
I am NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I took my car for a 60 000km service. Afterwards there was a rattle, I had to pay a diagnostic fee Only to find out - it was the manifold cover.
I took my car for the 75 000km service. AGAIN - there was a rattle. I refused to pay a diagnostic fee They informed me, it was the exhaust. It had to be replaced at R3 947!
How is this possible? This car is basically new. Other vehicles have almost 300 000 km on the clock and only NOW start giving problems with exhausts.
Was told that these specific makes (Renault KWID 2019) were giving problems. Renault is aware of this.
Therefore the three year warranty. Unfortunately, I just missed the cut off!? I will have to pay out of my pocket.
I will not!
QUESTIONS: Why does Renault SA find it acceptable to sell substandard products to the public? Why are customers not informed in order to make informed decision when buying a product? How do I know, the first rattling (after 60 000km service) wasn't in fact the exhaust, but was somehow patched so Renault doesn't have to cover the cost? Now that I miss the cut off, all of a sudden it is the exhaust?
I was promised feedback on what they can offer, BY YESTERDAY. Up until now, NO ONE has phoned me. My husband had phone them, only to be informed that my complaint is in a complaint queue?!
I use my car for business as well. I cannot execute my duties as I am supposed to. This has a financial impact as well. (could explain if required) Not that it is so important, but really? A little Kwid that sounds like a Jet car on Tarlton race course? What if the exhaust comes off? (Rattling is getting worse every day)
Does Renault Vaal & SA find complaints as a waste of their time? Does Renault Vaal & SA consider their clients as interruption in their service?
