Faulty Renault and Kwid clutches which Renault has been aware of since 20August 2020

Havig had trouble with my Renault Triber since 3500km, which I bought brand new and after seeing a letter from Renault confirming that all their Tribers and Kwids are having problems with their clothes and this is "normal", thee best reply I could get from Sherryl Nell, the cutomer care escalation manager, was the beliow comment. Renault, you need to up your game and stop exploiting your customers by recalling your cars!

"Conclusion • From the test drive and vehicle inspection, the concern of the clutch operational resonance when driving was found to be a normal characteristic of the vehicle and no alteration is required. o The audible resonance/reverbation is from the rotating components of the clutch assembly and flywheel interaction. • With regards to brake noise, this can be attributed to the operating characteristics of the compounds used in the construction of the brake pad friction material. When braking either a low or high frequency or in extreme cases a combination of both noises can intermittently be heard, and is generally a result of; o Different driving styles and conditions, including and not limited to severe braking, dusty conditions, and/or even humidity, therefore the intermittent noises experienced are a result of the operating characteristics. • There is no detrimental effect to the performance of the vehicles braking system, The vehicle was found to operate as intended and no faults recorded. The safety and durability of the vehicle is not compromised, nonetheless as a goodwill gesture it was offered to have the complete clutch kit replaced, however there is no guarantee that the resonance phenomena will not re-occur."
