Faulty gear on new Renault Kwid and no assistance from branch
Good day, I am Brenda Machitela, I bought a Renault Kwid in Pretoria at Fountain branch last year October, I collected the car on the 03 October 2017, after driving the car some few days I started to experience fault on gear 2, I took the car back to the dealer shop to explain that the car have factory fault on gear, the sales person indicated that maybe its because the car is still new, I must keep driving maybe it will get better. The fault did not get better, the problem got worse, and sometimes the car will switch off in the middle of the road because the gear refuses to change. On the 27 December 2018 I went back to the dealership to report the gear problem. One of the guys that work in their workshop took the car for a drive and confirmed that the car a problem with the gears. The car was booked in for the 3rd January 2018. The brakes of the car also started to fail which led me into an accident. On the 2 January 2018 the car failed to stop and drove right into an electric box and a wall. The electric box managed to safe the car from smashing right into the wall and the car only had scratches on the side the car. On the 3rd January 2018 I took the car back to Renault at Fountain branch. On the 5th Jan 2018 the branch called to say they have detected a problem with the gears and need to strip the gearbox. The following week no feedback was received, I was the only person calling them, but there was no tangible feedback until I went back to them personal, on the 15th January 2018 that’s where they told me that yes the car has faults and they can’t get the parts numbers of the car to place an order, it really ****ed me off to hear about this only after I went there straight to the dealership. The lady who explained the information said that there is possibility that the car will take almost a month to be fixed as they will still have to order the part and wait for it to arrive and the warranty department needs to arrange for me a curtesy car, as I am speaking I have not received a curtesy car, they keep fooling me with empty promises, I feel like they are taking advantage because I am woman, I am now tired, public transport is costing me to transport kids to school and myself to work when I could have spent less on petrol , if they cant fix their factory fault is better they give me a new car once. Who will be responsible for my car installment while my car is sitting in their worshop as they can't confirm when it will be fixed. This has really become very frustrating for me as no one wants to assist and it's not my fault that the car came with a fault.
