Factory faults on mechanical parts

I bought a brand new Renault CLIO in August 2012 from Renault Menlyn branch. The car has been serviced as prescribed by the service plan. However, the car stalled on Friday, 08 May 2015 at Menlyn shopping mall. Then the car was later towed to Renault dealership for repairs and/or servicing. On Monday 11 May 2015 I received a call from Cavier, mentioning that the reason why the car has ceased was due to failure in brake caliper, rear & front brake system - i.e. worn out. Cavier indicated that the brake calipers will not be covered by the warranty policy. However, I made enquiry at Renault Head Office in SA & the feedback I received was that the replacement of brake calipers will be covered by the Warranty Policy and I also communicated this feedback to Cavier and was in agreement. I later received a call from Div****h Bhikshu (i.e. Service Manager) saying that Renault will not replace the brake calipers because he is of the opinion that the damage was due to negligence. This was very ridiculous and insensitive of him

It's unacceptable since the car is not a pre-owned vehicle but a brand new car. This suggests that the quality re mechanical parts is questionable and/or inferior.
