Don't buy a Renault - parts take ages to arrive from France

My Renault Megane needs a battery fuse box but due to the parts not being available in South Africa I have to wait 6 weeks for a car part. My car has been at the dealership since December and I am now told that due to the holidays no parts were ordered. So I have to wait until 25 January before the part will arrive. There is a general reticence to assist in speeding up delivery of a part that is half the size of a lunchbox. I even out of desperation asked for a generic part to be installed until the part arrives but Renault refuses as it is not a Renault approved part.

I have tried Renault South Africa customer centre but their number cuts off.

Hugely unhappy with offhanded customer service.
