DO NOT BUY A RENAULT TRIBER!!! A pathetic experience from the worst service and worst vehicle I've ever owned.

I would've never thought buying a brand new vehicle would lead to this experience. I bought a Hyundai i10 (brand new) before my current RENAULT TRIBER PRESTIGE AMT (R230 000) and didn't have a single issue, from the mechanical side to the service side.

In my most recent experience, my vehicle's Manual transmission was not allowing me to drop gears (WARRANTY ISSUE), I took the vehicle to MOTUS RENAULT (South coast road). 1st time: Ran tests, nothing fixed, contacting RENAULT SA. My vehicle was there overnight. (I was only updated it needed another day when I phoned in.) 2nd time: Ran more tests, nothing fixed, contacting RENAULT SA. My vehicle was there from Wednesday to Friday. (I was only updated it needed another day when I phoned in.) TO TOP IT OFF, THIS DAY EVEN THOUGH I WAS CALLED AND BOOKED TO BE PICKED UP AT 15:00, I WAS NOT PICKED UP. THE TYRE ROTATION I ASKED FOR WAS NOT DONE AS WELL. 3rd time: I was called to book in my vehicle again because they now have the part required. so this will be another day or 2.

No courtesy vehicle was arranged, I had to pay for a vehicle I wasn't using and RENAULT's poor manufacturing was the issue.

Other issues with the RENAULT TRIBER:

-AUTOMATIC OVER REVS ON INCLINES EVEN SMALLER ONES. -GEARS OCCASIONALLY STALL ON AUTOMATIC -GEARS KNOCK WHEN CHANGING BOTH MANUAL/AUTO (MOTUS RENAULT SAY IT'S A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE VEHICLE) -WHEN CHANGING TO REVERSE (EVEN IF STOPPED FULLY, WITH BRAKE FULLY PRESSED DOWN) THE GEAR KNOCKS HARD AND LOUD. -VEHICLE WAS CALLED IN BECAUSE OF THE HOOD NOT BEING STABLE. -BRAKE PADS NEEDS TO BE REPLACED EVERY 6 TO 8 MONTHS (WITH SLOW DRIVING AND NO HEAVY LOADING) -OIL NEEDS TO BE ADDED EVERY 3 TO 4 MONTHS -SOOOOOO SLUGGISH!!! MY PREVIOUS VEHICLE HYUNDAI i10 WAS ALSO 1L BUT WAS NOTHING LIKE THIS. TAKE-OFF IS DANGEROUSLY SLOW. -A REVERSE LIGHT HASN'T HAS BEEN WORKING FROM THE DAY I'VE GOT THE CAR AND THE SALESMAN HAS NEVER DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT. (HE TOLD ME THAT NEW CARS ARE LIKE THIS, I WAS GULLIBLE ENOUGH TO LISTEN TO SOMEONE I TRUSTED)

MY VEHICLE ISN'T EVEN A YEAR AS YET!!!

AT THIS POINT RENAULT, TAKE YOUR CAR BACK AND REFUND ME!!!
