Do not Buy a Renault - they do not stock parts locally!

I love my Duster, which I bought new, and I have been pedantic about servicing it regularly etc. Today the turbo pipe blew. It is a R690 odd part which they do not have stock of in South Africa! The lead time to order it from overseas is 6 - 8 weeks - maybe. I was told I can drive my car but mustn't strain it.We are going away over December and apparently we can't tow our trailer now. We have friends flying in for the holiday. So what I want to know is what Renault is going to do anout the booked and paid accomodation, and the booked and paid flights that we now wont be able to use???? When I bought my car no-one told me that this was a possiblity - this is misrepresentation to put it mildly! Bad idea to buy a Renault - the parts are not available when you need them!
