Dishonesty of selling of a vehicle
I am laying a complaint about a 2009 Renault Sandero 1.6 that was purchased from Auto Select on the 16th of November 2017, with Reference Nr. ********** 14. Eversince, i have experienced the following issues:
Compression of the motor It uses a lot of oil The lights are very dim Non-existent warranty
I telephoned the dealership and spoke to a Mr. Ray Mitchel on various occasions, stating why it needs urgent attention, since i have a son that has been in and out of hospital since December and has been permanently hospitalized for the last two months. I take a trip from Ladismith W/C to Cape Town ( +-650km ) at least twice a month thus being the reason that i needed a vehicle that i can rely on.
With my 1st trip to Cape Town, i had to throw in 2 pints of oil. I contacted Mr. Mitchel and informed him about it, and that the lights does not shine properly. He advised me to bring in the car, but due to an emergency trip to the UCT Hospital with my son , i could not take the car. On the 8th of February, i was able to take the vehicle for repairs, and went to get it again on the 15/16th of Feb, while they ASSURED me that everything has been repaired. Upon the return of the vehicle, i noticed that the same problems were still present, and that the car was overly filled with oil.
The car also didn't have any pull power/ torque when it comes to an uphill, and i had a compression test done on 29th March 2018 by a mechanic. The results did not meet the standard for the specifications of the car at all. Attached are all the results and proof. He also told me that the spark plug no.4 was severely black. On the 5th of April 2018, i had to replace the spark plug, as it became faulty, and was of great risk.
On the 9th of April 2018, i took the car in for repairs again, and got it on the 13th of April 2018, only to find out that only the lights have been repaired and the car is still using oil.
Mr. Ray Mitchel feels that he has done all the necessary repairs at his expense, which i believe is a LIE. He has been dishonest with me since the very start and has handled the problem unprofessional. He sold me a warranty that is non-existent and that also does not have any reference.
Mr. Mitchel also feels that it is because i drive the vehicle a lot that i am having these problems. The amount of kilometres i drive should have no relevance in this argument. He **** about the reliability and condition of the vehicle.
Your assistance is appreciated Sincere Mr. Willem Roodman
