Disgust with how an accident was handled
I would like to utter my total disgust and disappointment with the service received from Renault Northcliff and their insurance company, Motus. On On 31 January 2017 at approx 12.15 I was stationary on Malibongwe Drive because of traffic. In front of me was a Ranger and I could not see what the cause of the traffic having stopped was. In my rearview mirror I noticed a car coming at quite a speed and thought to myself that this driver was not going to stop in time. The driver turned out to be Joe of Renault Northcliff. At that instant I tried to get out of his way by moving to the right of the lane, thereby giving him space on the left to hopefully pass me. Joe could not stop in time and hit my Atos on the left rear, pushing me into the Ranger in front of me. I immediately phoned the manager of Northcliff to inform him of the accident whereupon he assured me that it is their responsibility to have my car restored and all damages will be paid for. It is now August and my car is still not fixed. The insurance offered me two thirds of the price of my cheapest quotation which I refused. I am now told to get legal advice, for something which was not my fault and for which I must foot the bill. This just does not seem fair.
