Customer service from dealership and Head Office, ****NDOUSE!!!!
Hi All, If you are ever planning on buying a Renault, please consider the below.
I bought a Renault Kwid a few years ago, customer service was exceptional, they helped in all aspects, until the first service came and it all went downhill from there. I complained about a weird noise coming from the front right side of the vehicle it, of which the sound was even harder when I brake. I was told nothing was wrong, they can't find anything. I took the car back about 3 times before it reached its 25k km on the clock mark. All they did every time was scheme the brake disc. I kept complaining and the issue was never resolved. after the car hit 30k km on the clock at 2 years of age, I decided to trade in the car thinking maybe it is a kwid issue. I got the kiger 1.0T Zen in 2022 November and the same happened, first 2 times I took the car back I was told they can't find anything. write after the car hit 30k km on the clock, I was told "We found the issue, and your shock is leaking, the shock went out of warranty at 20 000kilometers, it is not covered I need to pay". I fought and fought, saying I complained about a noise how convenient is it that the issue is found as soonas it is out of warranty. unfortunately I lost that battle it is still going on till today. at 30k km mark I asked them to check a weird is coming from the front right side, especially when I brake and the brake paddle is also vibrating, they checked and told me there was nothing wrong, I complained and complained nothing came of it. In November last year when it when for the 45k km mark service, I told them I am not leaving unless the car is 100%, I was then told my brake pads are finished and are eating up the disk, that is the noise I am hearing I need to pay it is not covered because it is metal on metal damage. I fought and even called head office, and I quote what was said: "We only go of what the dealership says, we do not do our own investigation, the disk has metal on metal damage. It is not covered and I need to pay". After fighting and complaining I decided to pay since my life was not getting in jeperdy. This week 2024/04/09, I took the car back saying the vibrations and noise is back fix please and I know it can't be the brakes they were replaced November last year together with the brake disc. Hold and behold, I was told the brakes are finished and it is eating up the disc. I almost fainted!!, how is that possible? 10km later the brake pads are done it is literally 5 Months later. so I complained as usual and nothing came from it once again. and I quote some of the remarks the technition made: "sir, the driver drives alone most of the time so the weight being more on the one side sometimes plays a role". I didn't know if I should laugh, cry or faint... I weight 61kg, and 99.99% of the time I drive the car. I am so so disappointed, and to make matters worse I recommended over 15 people of which 9 of them actually bought renaults, now they sit with the same issues, I can't even look them in the eye anymore. Do yourself a favour and do not go with Renault, ask yourself why there are so many second hands ones for sale, and good luck with a trading in a renault, you will struggle.
