Car damage due to a manufacturing error

On 6 September 2015 I was driving(a clio 4 dynamique) on Main road in Claremont with the front windows open. It was very hot and windy, so i decided to close the windows because if the strong wind.A split second later I heard a huge banging sound. The rear back window started shattering into a million pieces. I told Renault Tokai about this, and all that they could say was that i must take the matter up with my insurance as this is no fault of theirs. I told the assistant that I have seen reviews on Google with people who have had the same problem with renault cars. All he could say was that the models were probably old, and that my car has now passed the 6 month warranty which renault has on windows of a new car . I am very dissapointed in them because as the customer i should have been treated better, and now i face the admin of having to claim this from my insurance which i believe is totally unacceptable. The car is only almost 2 years old. I believe this is a manufactuing error as there is just no way to explain the happening of such an incident. I will never buy any RENAULT CAR again. This is from a highly dissappointed customer.
