BAD SERVICE AT RENAULT PAARDEN HIGHLANDS

WC 28 May 2018 I called Renault Paarden Island to book in my car for a service and repairs. They told me the week is fully booked if i want to repair my car but they can schedule a service for Friday or they can schedule both the service and repairs on Monday 4 June 2018.

So I confirmed Monday 4 June for my car to be in the workshop. Firstly I'm from JHB and recently relocated to CPT. In JHB they take you to your place of work and also offer pick you up services as you have no car (shout out to Renault Bryanston). I was shocked to find out that they offer Uber services around here in Cape Town as an alternative and limited to 10km or R100 but should I exceed any of the two, the rest is on me (bear in mind I was still to face morning traffic jam). Luckily I did not exceed any of the two as the traffic was good on that day (rare for cape town).

Now I'm faced with the problem of going to fetch the car with my own expense. So tick tok tick tok, 4:20 I leave work to fetch my car. Traffic was bad enough but eventually got to the place at 05:30.

So they hand over the car and they tell me I they haven't got the chance look at the problems identified to or reported because they are short of stuff and they still need to give me a cost estimate. What cost estimate I asked? Because when called in the week before we all confirmed that my car was on maintenance plan and they'd be happy to do the repairs. This was just an excuse they were putting up to be honest as all admin had been confirmed. How do you tell someone to bring in their car on a specific day and then you don't have enough stuff to work on the car? That's utter bull.

So they promised to call me on Tuesday to discuss a way forward and they haven't, and I've been following up with them since Tuesday. Either they are not answering or the people I'm looking for are busy. I finally got hold of one of the people Wednesday and they promised to call today and still they haven't. It's Thursday now and I'm travelling to work with a car that might brake fail on me because of their unorganised workshop.

Since I've been failing to get through to them and for them not managing my expectations or getting back to me with a resolve, I'm writing this complaint so that I can heard and for them to stop taking customer service lightly. For the record, I'm still waiting for the call to find a resolve to getting my car fixed.
