Bad service!

Had taken my Renault Clio 4 for service 3 weeks ago at McCarthy Renault in Germiston and there didn’t pick anything about my battery span. Just a few days ago my car showed me all system failures that one can think of (engine failure,braking system failure, starring wheel failure and etc) and then died on me. I had it towed to the Glen and arrived at 12pm. Nobody bothered to get hold of me to confirm that they received the car and told me they won’t look into my car because it’s already late (bare in mind it’s only 12 noon). The next morning I called them and they advised me to call at 12pm and when I did they said they would call at 14:30 (which they didn’t). Then eventually when they do call they tell me I have to replace the battery. It’s questionable that the car in the 1st place didn’t notify me about the battery and the when I took it for service they didn’t see anything wrong with the battery. It’s shocking to me that it took them the whole day to assess that the problem is the battery. I have concerns because I have heard many people take out money for to replace the battery as it’s not covered under warranty and it’s like they just try make money out of you even when the initial issue is not the battery
